Alupar wins auction to build a 715 km transmission line in the North of Brazil

Alupar Investimento S.A. won the lot A in the ANEEL nº 004/2011 today’s auction, to build a 715 Km transmission line in the North of Brazil.

The foreseen investment is R$ 969.257.670,00, with an Allowed Annual Revenue (RAP) of R$ 121.128.000,00, with no discounts if compared with the original RAP established by ANEEL.

Lot A is composed by a double circuit transmission line and three substations in Amazonas (Lechuga Substation) and Roraima (Equador and Boa Vista Substations). This project will connect the city of Boa Vista (RR) to the National Interconnected System (SIN) and will allow the reduction of expenses with the Fuel Consumption Account (CCC) and the energy imports from Venezuela.

Boa Vista Consortium is formed by Alupar (51%) and Centrais Elétricas do Norte do Brasil S.A. – Eletronorte (49%).

With the victory in this new auction, Alupar will add 715 km of transmission lines to its current portfolio of 5,000 km of lines executed by the company in Brazil and Chile.
